Patrick Windham holds a Master's degree in Public Policy from UC Berkeley. He also received a BA from Stanford in the nascent STS Program and is considered the first STS major by the Program. He teaches the following course for the Program:

In addition to being a Lecturer for the STS and Public Policy Programs at Stanford, Mr. Windham operates his own consulting firm, which focuses on how federal, state, and regional technology policies can promote national and regional economic growth. Previously, he served as a Senior Professional Staff Member for the Subcommittee on Science, Technology, and Space of the Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation, U.S. Senate. His work there focused primarily on policies to strengthen U.S. industrial competitiveness.
