Heidi Boyd

I currently work for one of the largest investors in  infrastructure assets globally.   I buy critical assets like bridges,  utilities, ports, airports, landfills, and power plants.  Infrastructure  investing demands both an engineering and finance mindset as well as an  active approach to stakeholders (like regulators, politicians, and users of  the asset) and an eye towards macro trends in GDP, commodity prices, etc.  In  a sense, my job requires the same level of interdisciplinary hopscotch as STS  did.  I am currently based in New York, but in my ten years since graduation  I have moved from Los Angeles to Paris to Boston wth BCG and then for  business school.  My only regret with respect to STS: I wish there had been  more time to take additional courses!
