Originally from Paris, France, Axelle is a senior who began her Stanford career with multidisciplinary interests and quickly developed a predilection for studying ethics in technology. Through STS, she was able to approach issues of ethics in technology through multiple lenses while acquiring technical skills to bolster her critical interests. STS enabled her to learn about the history that has shaped technologies, the technologies that have shaped society, and everything in between from Science and Technology policy courses to entrepreneurship, computer science and ethics classes. In her time at Stanford, Axelle has also been able to pursue a minor in German Studies, studying abroad in Berlin and interning at an entrepreneurship consulting firm in Munich sophomore year. In her free time, she enjoys running, reading, hiking, horse riding and baking.
