In facing climate change and global pandemics, modern democracies must cope with misinformation, disinformation, and science denial. How can they best respond? What does it take to make evidence-based policy in today’s information environment? Enjoy pizza and an intimate conversation with Paul Edwards, Director of the Science, Technology, and Society program and a lead author of the 2021 IPCC report; Adam Bonica, Associate Professor of Political Science; and Mallory Harris, PhD candidate in Biology and an organizer of Scientists Speak Up.

This event is being held as part of Stanford's Democracy Day.
